Christmas is fast approaching, and here at Broadbeach Ortho we’re already preparing for a busy and joyful season. Although December hasn’t arrived yet, mid-November is the ideal time to organise appointments, plan for holidays, and get ready for our upcoming Christmas Countdown.
Here is what’s happening as we lead into a festive season filled with healthy, confident smiles.
Preparing for the Festive Season
With school holidays around the corner and families planning travel, November is the perfect month to get ahead with your orthodontic care. A little preparation now ensures a smooth, stress-free December.
Book Any Appointments Before the Break
Our schedule fills up quickly at this time of year. If you need adjustments, advice, or a check-in before heading away, it’s best to secure your appointment now.
Choose Your Christmas Braces Colours
Many patients enjoy updating their braces colours for the holiday season. Popular options include:
- Red and green
- Gold and white
- Blue and silver
- Red and white (candy cane style)
Feel free to ask us for inspiration at your next visit.
Prepare an Orthodontic Travel Kit
If you’ll be travelling, we recommend packing:
- orthodontic wax
- elastics (if required)
- a travel toothbrush and toothpaste
- an aligner case
- aligner cleaning crystals or tablets
Being prepared will help you maintain your routine even while on holiday.
Christmas Countdown Starts December 1
Each year, Broadbeach Ortho launches a Christmas Countdown to share tips, ideas, and festive updates with our patients and community. Beginning on December 1, we will be posting:
- Teeth-friendly Christmas treat ideas
- Holiday colour inspiration for braces
- Self-care reminders for maintaining healthy smiles
- Behind-the-scenes staff highlights
- Fun challenges for families and kids
- Special holiday announcements and surprises
- Make sure to follow us online so you don’t miss any of the upcoming posts
November Tip: Enjoy Christmas Treats Safely
With Christmas parties beginning early, it’s important to be mindful of which foods are safe for braces or aligners. Suitable options include soft chocolates, gingerbread without sticky icing, custards, and similar soft desserts.
Foods to avoid include hard toffees, nut brittles, candy canes, and sticky lollies, as they can damage brackets or wires.
Behind the Scenes at Broadbeach Ortho
Our team is already preparing the practice for the festive season. Decorations, themed events, and a few surprises are on the way as we head into December. We enjoy making this time of year special for our patients, and we look forward to sharing the fun with you.

Looking Ahead
As we approach the end of the year, we would like to thank our wonderful patients and families for their trust and support. We look forward to a season filled with warmth, community spirit, and many great smiles.
Stay tuned — our full Christmas Countdown will begin on December 1.
