When it comes to orthodontic treatment, finding the right orthodontist is crucial for achieving a beautiful, healthy smile. While it’s common to seek out experienced professionals, don’t underestimate the value that a relatively new orthodontic practice can offer. New practices often bring fresh perspectives, the latest technology, and a dedication to delivering excellent patient care. In this blog, we’ll explore how to find a good orthodontist, even when the practice is relatively new to the scene.

• Ask for Recommendations:
• Start by asking your general dentist or other healthcare providers for recommendations. They may have insights into newer practices that are known for their high-quality care.

• Research the Orthodontist’s Credentials:
• Ensure that the orthodontist is licensed and AHPRA certified in orthodontics. You can usually find this information on their practice’s website or by contacting AHPRA provider search.

• Check for Specialisations:
• Find out if the orthodontist specialises in Orthodontics. Specific treatments, such as Clear aligners (Invisalign, Spark another clear aligners), braces, or other orthodontic techniques. Their expertise in your desired treatment can make a difference.

• Schedule a Consultation:
• Arrange an initial consultation to get a feel for the practice. Pay attention to the orthodontist’s communication skills, the cleanliness of the office, and the friendliness of the staff.

• Ask About the Latest Technology:
• Inquire about the technology and equipment used for diagnosis and treatment. Newer practices often invest in state-of-the-art technology, which can lead to more accurate and efficient treatments.

• Request Testimonials and Reviews:
• Even if the practice is relatively new, they may have collected patient testimonials and reviews. Read through these to get an idea of the patient experience and results achieved.

• Discuss Treatment Options:
• During your consultation, ask the orthodontist about the treatment options they recommend for your specific case. A good orthodontist will provide a tailored plan that aligns with your needs and goals.

• Evaluate the Cost and Payment Options:
• Understand the cost of treatment and inquire about payment options, insurance coverage, and flexible financing plans. A newer practice may offer competitive pricing to attract patients.

• Check Their Commitment to Continuing Education:
• Inquire about the orthodontist’s commitment to staying updated on the latest advancements in orthodontics. This commitment to ongoing education can be a sign of their dedication to providing top-notch care.

• Trust Your Gut:
• Ultimately, choose an orthodontist you feel comfortable with and trust. A newer practice with a dedicated and passionate team can often provide a fantastic patient experience.

Conclusion: Don’t overlook the potential benefits of choosing a relatively new orthodontic practice. While experience is essential, new practices often bring enthusiasm, modern technology, and a commitment to excellent patient care. By following these tips, you can confidently select a good orthodontist who will help you achieve the smile you’ve always wanted, even if they are relatively new to the field. Remember, the journey to a beautiful smile starts with the right orthodontist by your side.

Highly recommend this practice to ANYONE. For starters the location is stunning, so aesthetic & clean. However, this is nothing compared to the service you receive. Dr Maree is professional, meticulous, a perfectionist, honest and an incredibly genuine down-to-earth doctor. I can honestly say that I haven’t felt so comfortable receiving care from someone before. To top it off, this practice offers the best prices on the entire Gold Coast. I called every Orthodontist practice on the Coast for the care that I needed and Dr Maree offers prices that are the most affordable and therefore allow everyone the opportunity to have beautiful Smiles. This is an incredible movement that she has started with quality care, affordable prices, excellent customer service & a gorgeous location. I will never visit another Orthodontist again, because they are simply the best. I also want to mention that the front office desk manager Chenay is amazing. She showed incredible patience and professionalism with me, she spent her time answering all of my questions via email, with a very quick response rate, and sent me various quotes for different treatments I was after. She makes you feel welcomed & always has a big smile on her face. 🙂 Thank you Broadbeach Orthodontics for the exceptional service, I will be back!

From the moment I met the team I felt at ease and in the hands of highly skilled & caring professionals. Everything was clearly explained and the process was relatively quick and pain free (Lightforce braces). After care was also A1. Just have to let my cheeks adjust 😁. Thank you!

Amesha is very professional experienced orthodontist who took the time to explain my nieces bite issues well. It’s a small, cosy boutique practise and beautifully presented.
